Fall is all about change. From fading temperatures to the color of leaves, its what makes this season one of the finest aspects of living in New York. So as we transition from these final summer days to the brisk autumn nights, it seems only appropriate to select a song which champions this theme. With that in mind, I selected veteran indie rock band, Yo La Tengo's lullaby, "Our Way to Fall." From the group's 2000 release, And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out, on the Matador record label, I love lead singer, Ira Kaplan's gentle vocals, the soft percussion and guitars. But most of all, I love the song's story about a summer romance's progression towards fall love. Enjoy the song and have a happy Music Monday!
