Music Monday: The Go! Team

Equal parts indie rock and garage rock, with a sprinkling of old school hip-hop samples and a penchant for double dutch chants, Brighton band, The Go! Team, have just released Rolling Blackouts, their highly anticipated follow up to 2007's Proof of Youth on Memphis Industries. Well-versed in the art of creating dance anthems that of sound like a cheerleading squad gone rogue, I've haven't been able to stop listening to album's free stream provided by The Hype Machine. The track, "Secretary Song," appears to be the album's first official single, and the recently released official music video depicts Deerhoof's (a fine band in their own right) own, Satomi Matsuzake, as a secretary working in Japan.

However, my current favorite song is actually a Star Slinger's remix of, "Apollo Throwdown."

Hope you enjoy the tracks and hope you have a happy Music Monday!
