Music Monday: Vivian Girls et al.

Happy Music Monday everyone! This week's band, the Vivian Girls, tore up the indie charts with their self-titled 2008 lo/fi punk debut off the Rough Trade label. Originally comprised of Cassie Ramone, Katy "Kickball Katy" Goodman and drummer Frankie Rose, this all-female, Brooklyn band had one of that years most acclaimed albums, which featured the single, "Where Do You Run To."

But later in 2008, Frankie left the band, leading to the formation of Frankie Rose and the Outs who scored a hit with the song, "Little Brown Haired Girls."

Last, but certainly not least, is a new track from Katy Goodman's solo project called, Le Cera. Quite the departure from the punk-sounding Vivian Girls, Le Cera has a more lush and dreamy sound that's exemplified on the track, "Never Come Around," and features an appropriately Halloween-themed video, enjoy!
